With new media today, everyone could find support with whatever they want to achieve or do. For example people who want to organize a party would usually send out an invitation card, but now it's easier to just post it on Facebook event and invite everyone in their friend list. Their friends could also ask if there were any enquiries about the event over at the comments itself and everyone who is going could read and know more about the party as well.

Chic magazine is making money with the support they get on Facebook. They made a contest for looking for chic girls for their magazine and every girl could join this by posting their photos online, trying their luck to put themselves out there and see how many 'like's they get - see how many supporters/fans they have to qualify to the next round.

There are people who even find support in new media, like in facebook - people who wanna stop smoking, it is really hard to do it alone but if you were to do it together, you feel that you have friends doing it, going through the pain to quit. Therefore they made a page in facebook for people who wanna quit smoking.

It is amazing the fact that through new media, it brought us together to help us get away from things that are bad for health. Other then facebook, people could also find support through twitter. The re-tweet button made for us to get more exposure when people re-tweet our tweet. For example when we re-tweet things that zouksingapore tweet for what's happening in the club on that particular night, it helps them spread the news and people who have not followed them, could follow them for more news from them.

People could also find support over a quarrel or fight, like how these guys did.
